I laminated a copy of your E9 chart years ago and it's been so incredibly helpful. I'm very excited to see you have a C6 one as well. Thank you so much for making these available!

E9 Chord Chart Poster/Want to purchase

Post by Tom Rierden »

Hello Patricia,
I would like to purchase a copy of your E9 Chord Chart.
Is that still possible?
I would like to have a poster printed.
This would be a terrific bonus for me as I am a beginner.

Looking forward to your reply!

Thanks for accepting me in your Forum...I play the guitar, Lapsteel and a little on the piano. My first Steel ; an expo GFI arrived two days ago. I want to learn the E9th tuning first and hope I can get some info here on this topic.

Hi, Patricia,

I've been reading this thread since around the time you first posted in 2008 when I got my first pedal steel. Finally downloaded both the E9 and now the C6 charts, but you have no idea how many times I've referred to them. Thank you for a truly valuable resource--clear to see by the number of pages in the thread over the years, and still growing. You've done a great thing for the entire pedal steel community--especially for the new and returning players. Thank you!

Is there something like this for C6?
Carter D10 8p/7k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup, Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112, Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open G slide and regular G tuning guitar) .

Playing for 55 years and still counting.

Re: E9th/C6th Chord Chart & Tip Sheet

I received an email just yesterday again asking for a copy of the chord charts. More than 10 years later. Warms my heart. Thank you, Alan. It's been a long while since I visited the forum, but my love for the steel lives on every day. To all you seasoned players and newcomers, keep on keepin' on. Let's keep the cry of the steel guitar alive.

2025 has been a year of highs [Paul Franklin, 2025 CMA Musician of the Year] and lows [hugs to the Mullen Crew].

Wishing you all the best this holiday season and a happy and healthy 2026.

As always, the charts are free to download at www.cryinsteel.com.

[Contributions, if you have the means, do help me keep the site active and the charts available to all.]

Much love,
Patricia
