I agree wholeheartedly, Mick. I think he's a brilliant and original writer. A lot of very good musicians think so too but I've also read that some others just don't get what the fuss is all about. Guess that's what makes horse races. Jerry Douglas recorded a great Dobro version of "I say a little prayer" about 20 years ago and I always dug Wes Montgomery's version of "What the world needs now" on his album "Tequila".
