With his partner Bunky he made two wonderful records in the late sixties. That's when I heard a lap-steel for the first time. About ten years he released a new record.
There's a track on it with some incredible steel playing.

Thanks! Those Bunky&Jake and Family Jewels records were so cool. Anyone into the early NRBQ sound would love them, I think. The cut you highlighted was great. I was unaware of that recording.

Yes, Kevin my favorits also. Terry Adams contributed piano on his record. He also did a track with the Q and sang with his friend Willi deVille.
