This was just a proof of concept to see if the zither pins hold tune very well...
They work great and reduce the overal length of a steel guitar.
My next experiment will be to see how many strings are practical with strings and tuner spacing
on a wider headstock. The reduced weight and length would make a good travel steel guitar.

Yup, just shows how simple it can be. I recently saw a relatively compact bridge/tuner unit for a headless guitar that got me thinking about building a headless lap steel. I wish I could remember where I saw it now.
