New Gretsch Lap Steel

Post by Roger Shackelton »

Has anyone seen or played the new Gretsch 6 string lap steel that is on the Gretsch Website. It is, Model G6147 Jet Mainliner w/ a Dyna Sonic single coil pickup. It sounds interesting, but I don't know the price yet.

They have two different lap steels! Here's the link for the G2700 on Gretsch's web site, and here's the link for the G6147.

Nice looking guitars. I wonder how much they cost/what they sound like?

I was told that Gretsch is also reissuing some of the Bigsby stuff, at least I've seen a vol/tone pedal...

It seems odd to me that they would make a 6-string lap steel-old ones are almost TOO plentiful.
